Waconia United Food Shelf Board
The Waconia United Food Shelf Board is currently recruiting people to fill vacancies for the fall of 2017. The Food Shelf serves residents living in the Waconia School District including the communities of Waconia, St. Bonifacious, New Germany, Victoria and Cologne. The Board meets monthly at the Food Shelf location. Meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month from 5:30-7:00 pm. The term is for three years. Any prospective member is invited to attend a meeting prior to making a commitment.
If you are interested in being a member of the Board please call the Food Shelf at (952) 442-3878 or drop us an email.
We need you!
The Waconia Food Shelf is operated in part by over 100 volunteers including board members, volunteer coordinators, site workers, and delivery persons. Currently, we assist over 240 households a month and distribute 20,000+ pounds of food monthly to clients living in the communities of Waconia, New Germany, Victoria, Cologne and St. Bonifacious. This would not be possible without the generosity of businesses, churches, schools, civic and sport organizations, and many personal contributions of food and money for which we are very appreciative.
