2021 MN Food Share March Campaign
We are participating in the annual MN Food Share during March. It is the largest grassroots food & fund drive in the state! We’d appreciate your support! DONATE HERE or mailing a check to our PO Box. Food Donations can be dropped off 24/7 in our outside donation carts.
The Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign brings together community organizations, businesses, and individuals to fill food shelves statewide.
To date, nearly 300 million combined dollars and pounds of items have been donated to food shelves as part of the March Campaign, translating to more than one billion meals.
New Executive Director
The Waconia United Food Shelf board announces the retirement of long- time Executive Director, Marty Cramer effective September 30, 2020. Marty has served in various roles at the food shelf since 2003. She has enjoyed the many opportunities to make an impact on client’s lives over the years and the interactions with the numerous volunteers whom she is come to consider friends. She remains grateful for the business relationships she is built over the years and for the strong support of local businesses and organizations. She looks forward to joining her husband in retirement and hoping to travel more when it is safe again.
She leaves the food shelf in the hands of Angie Cruzen, the new Executive Director effective August 17, 2020. Angie has lived in the Waconia area for 13 years working in the banking industry and volunteering in various ways in the community. She is married and has two sons that attend Southview Elementary and Waconia Middle School. Her family belongs to Freshwater Church in Waconia. She also serves as the Director of Operations for the Waconia Basketball Association and was a general board member of the Waconia United Food Shelf for over two years. She brings years of servant leadership and volunteer experience to the food shelf where she is excited to help continue making a large impression on our clients and community.
CURRENT DONATION NEEDS
We always accept monetary donations during client shifts, by mail, or on our Homepage. We continue to accept food donations during our client shifts and in our outside 24/7 donation carts. Please refrain from donating expired foods. Please call us at 442-3878 if you would like to learn more about donating these items.

- Crackers (Saltines, Cheeze-Its, Triscuits, etc.)
- Spaghetti Sauce
- Pop Tarts
- All Condiments (Soy Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Mayo, etc.)
- Salad Dressings
- Taco Shells
- Enchilada Sauce
- Rotel Diced Tomatoes
- Baby Wipes
- Size 4, 5, and 6 diapers
- Hand soap
Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Closed Thanksgiving November 26-28, 2020
We will be closed on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Friday, Saturday the 26th thru the 28th of November and open again on Monday, November 30, 2020 .
Closed New Years Eve and New Years Day
The Foodshelf will be closed Tuesday, December 31st and Wednesday, January 1st for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. We will open again on Thursday, January 2nd.
Closed Nickle Dickle Day
The Waconia Food Shelf will be closed September 14, 2019 due to Nickle Dickle Day.
Closed September 13th, for Nickle Dickle Day
Closed for Labor Day, Monday Sept. 1
The food shelf will be closed on Monday, September 1 for Labor Day.
